#1 is Magic Mike Live at the Sahara Hotel. I’ve seen this show a couple of times, and I love it! MML is tough to beat. The guy who runs the Sahara bought the rights to this show. It’s a ticketed full-on performance with assigned seating. The guys are incredible dancers, classically trained, and very athletic, and they perform in their own theatre. The show is fantastic; very well done.
#2 Chippendales at the Rio Hotel has been around for a very long time, and it’s still doing well. I took my girlfriend, and we were impressed at how good it was. Vinny from Jersey Shore was headlining that night. He’s not in the show all the time, but when he is, the tickets are a little more expensive, but it’s worth it. The Chippendales know how to put on a really good show.
#3 Thunder From Down Under perform in their own theatre, the Thunderland Showroom, inside the Excalibur Hotel. It opened in 2002, and it’s still going strong. This is a good show too. What I like about Thunder is that they walk on your table during the show, so no matter where you sit, you’re in the action, and you feel like part of the show. The night I was there with my girlfriend, one of the guys in the show who works out at my gym recognized me, and we were joking around and slapping hands as he was running up and down on our table. It was pretty cool!
Sidebar: For a bachelorette bash, a girl’s night out, or a birthday celebration, you can’t go wrong with any one of the top three shows. They’re all really good. These are ticketed events with assigned seating. My girlfriend and I saw the early show of Chippendales, then we went to the late show at Thunder, and we saw some of the girls at Chippendales who also ended up at Thunder, so you can see two shows in one night if you want.
#4 Aussie Heat is a lower-budget show compared to the big 3, but it’s still good; perfect for groups who are budget-conscious. Aussie Heat isn’t the best production I’ve seen; there’s only about 5-6 guys performing, but it’s still entertaining and worth seeing. It’s located in Downtown Las Vegas at Notoriety Theatre on East Fremont Street. We have some packages where you can make a night of it with a limo, drinks, and dinner deals, head to the show, and hit some cool bars in the area afterward. Downtown is a bit less expensive than the Strip.
#5 Black Magic Live, featuring an all-black male cast, is bought to you by actress Vivica A. Fox. This two-hour show is at the Lamarre Theatre in Downtown Las Vegas. The theatre is nice with seating up front, making it easy for the guys to engage with the crowd. The girls can stand up and party with the guys. We have some fantastic packages that include a limo, dinner, nightclubs, and whatever else you want to add.
