Residents of Clark County are finding it increasingly difficult to secure affordable parking on the Las Vegas Strip, despite some casinos offering perks to locals. Edwidge Belcourt, a Henderson resident, expressed frustration, saying, “It is very expensive to park on the strip.” He noted that the three-hour free parking offered by some casinos is insufficient, adding, “Three hours is not much anyway.”
Joshua Williams, another local, reminisced about the days of free parking at venues like The Mirage and Cromwell. “For locals and then also for folks who are out of town, they have to do something. We have to do something to bring people back,” he said.
News 3’s investigation revealed that Resorts World offers free parking for Nevada residents, while out-of-state visitors face a $21 charge.
